Hello! Here’s more info about professional me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oklahoma, currently in private practice and also a HALO Project Therapist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am a state of Oklahoma board approved licensure supervisor in the specialty of clinical social work. My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Family Studies from Oklahoma Christian University (2003) and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma (2005). I have been licensed since 2007.
The first 10 years of my clinical work was primarily in children’s community mental health as a therapist and later management team leader. I have experience and training in working clinically with children, adults and their families facing a wide range of issues from trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, family conflict, behavioral issues as well as other presenting issues. Over time one of my specializations and passions has centered on child trauma. I also enjoy training, teaching and mentoring fellow professionals and have been a licenseure supervisor and a practicum field instructor. Hop on over to my philosophy page to learn more about how these experiences have shaped they way I work and my beliefs I bring into therapy on the best ways to practice.
A little info on personal me. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, I am married with three children. I love to read and be outside and have a vice for Dr. Pepper and yummy coffees. While my faith background is Christian my practice is open to all faiths and diversity of world views. I am an LBGTQ+ inclusive and affirming therapist. My belief is that we all have much more in common than we have differences, that we belong to each other and radical love is the hardest best path. I want to know and understand your world view and the things you hold sacred. I am a parent myself who values repair because I too make lots of mistakes. In this season of active family life I am grateful to be able to pursue both my passions in parenting my own kiddos and continuing to practice on a part time basis.
